Series Overview

The Samsung PM1743 Series SSD is designed for enterprise and data center servers, featuring the latest PCIe 5.0 interface combined with Samsung’s advanced 6th generation V-NAND technology. This combination delivers significant performance improvements to meet the growing demands of next-generation server workloads.

In terms of performance, the PM1743 achieves sequential read speeds of up to 13,000 MB/s and random read performance of up to 2,500K IOPS, delivering approximately 1.7× higher sequential read speed and 1.9× higher random read performance compared to previous PCIe 4.0-based enterprise SSDs. Sequential write speeds reach up to 6,600 MB/s, while random write performance reaches up to 250K IOPS, also representing substantial generational improvements.

Power efficiency has also been enhanced, with performance reaching up to 608 MB/s per watt, representing an improvement of approximately 30% over the previous generation. This increased efficiency helps reduce overall operating costs in data centers while contributing to lower energy consumption and reduced carbon footprint.

The Samsung PM1743 Series SSD is available in capacities ranging from 1.92TB to 15.36TB. It supports both traditional 2.5-inch form factors and EDSFF form factors, which are increasingly adopted in next-generation enterprise servers and data center infrastructures.
