Series Overview
Samsung has started mass production of 512GB eUFS 3.1 for smartphones. Its sequential write speed is three times faster than 512GB eUFS 3.0, breaking the 1GB/s barrier in smartphone storage.
The 512GB eUFS 3.1 delivers over 1,200 MB/s sequential write speed, more than twice as fast as SATA SSDs (540 MB/s) and over ten times faster than UHS-I microSD cards (90 MB/s). Smartphones equipped with eUFS 3.1 can transfer 100GB of data in just 1.5 minutes, compared to over 4 minutes with UFS 3.0.
Additional capacities of 256GB and 128GB will be available later this year.
